Job Summary:  


The candidate will be a mid-level process engineer and is responsible for design, procurement support, and fabrication support of various equipment on projects executed by Strategy Engineering. It is preferred the candidate has upstream oil and gas design experience but it is not required depending on other qualifications.


 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and develop PFDs, P&IDs, and Heat & Material Balances (H&MBs).
  • Prepare process simulations.
  • Perform process optimization, operational debottlenecking, and capacity expansion studies.
  • Perform relief system analysis, hydraulic calculations, control valve sizing, & PSV scenario analysis and sizing.
  • Perform flare, vent, and blowdown system sizing and analysis.
  • Perform tank venting calculations and overpressure protection analysis.
  • Perform dispersion analysis and reports.
  • Prepare various studies associated with design concept, conceptual design, and FEED studies.
  • Provide support to mechanical engineering group in completion of mechanical engineering activities.
  • Participate in process hazard analysis (PHA) and HAZOP.
  • Interface and coordinate work with other engineering disciplines to minimize conflicts and errors.

Job requirements

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical or process engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience.
  • A registered professional engineer is a plus.
  • Experience in design of LNG and/or cryogenic facilities is a plus.
  • Experience in design of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities is a plus.
  • Experience in CO2 capture and storage is a plus.
  • Must have a passion for learning something new and devising practical, timely solutions to problems.
  • Must be proficient in UniSim or HYSYS and able to adapt to use of one or the other.
  • Proficiency in FlareSim is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word as a minimum.
  • Must be innovative and open to using the latest available technology to advance skills and drive efficiency.
  • Proven ability to communicate well in written and verbal communications.
  • Design thinking for product inventions and enhancements.
  • Motivation and commitment to providing interpersonal customer service.
  • Must be a team player and put the good of the Client and Company foremost.
  • Soft skills including a positive attitude, flexibility and conflict resolution.
